Updates for 2011 models

The newest Sedona models have a few updates we’re sure you’d like to hear about.  The powertrain is all new and it offers better fuel economy.  Not only can you get a minivan for a good price, but you’ll also be able to stretch your gas budget that much further.  The engine is a 3.5-liter V-6 that is paired up with a new six-speed automatic transmission.  This should make your drive to and from the grocery store, practices, and work very exciting and enjoyable.

The 2011 Kia Sorento SX trim is the latest edition to the 2011 Sorento line, featuring a sleek and more aggressive design element compared to previous Sorento trims. The front and rear fascias are newly redesigned, but are somewhat reminiscent of a Buick Enclave. The newly added 18-inch wheels compliment the chrome exhaust tip and LED tail lamps well. To add a more compact look, Kia lowered the 2011 Sorento SX trim model a half an inch closer to the ground. The Kia Sorento SX trim has yet to hit the market, but you can test drive the EX and LX models at your local Round Lake Kia Rondo dealership.

Underneath the hood will stay the same for the most part, the SX will come with a standard Sorento 276-horsepower, 3.5 liter V6 engine with a six-speed automatic transmission. The six-speed automatic transmission feature is optional on the Kia Sorento LX and EX models. There was one significant mechanical alteration coming in the form of the addition of Dual Flow Damper shock absorbers. The Dual Flow Damper shock absorbers will provide drivers with improved handling and ultimately a more comfortable ride.

All the optional features in the Kia Sorento EX model will come standard in the SX trim. This will include leather-trimmed seats with the option to heat your backside in the driver and front passenger seats, a voice-activated navigation system including the very popular back-up camera display and an Infinity audio system.  Other notable interior changes include a metallic gauge cluster complimented perfectly with a standard accent illumination and shiny stainless steel pedals.

Recently the mid-sized crossover SUV has been recognized by Euro NCAP for its five star safety rating and by the Australasian New Car Assessment Program receiving four stars. The only reason that the Kia Sorento received a four star from the Australasian New Car Assessment Program was due to a poorly fitted passenger side seatbelt reminder, which has since been fixed making a five star scoring for next year very probable.

Pricing for the 2011 Kia Sorento SX trim have been predicted at around the low $30,000 and they will be available at your Round Lake Beach used car dealerships come this summer.

How does the ’10 Sorento drive compared to other Round Lake Beach used cars?  The 2010 Sorento weighs around 475 lbs less than the current model.  Less weight helps improve performance, along with the V6 engine.  It’s said to get around roads pretty well.

Also, since this Waukegan new car is a crossover, it’s larger than a coupe or sedan, which is perfect for transporting a few kids and their sporting gear.  The newly designed vehicle has plenty of cargo and passenger room.  It is a Crossover that compares positively to other vehicles in its class.
