Escape from Hamsterdam

October 27, 2009 Features, Kia News No Comments

I’m thinking about purchasing a Kia Soul. I visit the Kia website and make my way to the page dedicated to the hip, urban ride. I start to customize one, thinking of the essentials and not-so-essentials that I absolutely must have.  Then, I’m carefully hovering over a very important button. A “buy now” button? No, even with Kia purchasing a new car isn’t that streamlined. Rather I’m taking great care over a button called “Launch”. I’m ready. I press it quickly and firmly. And my hamster is propelled 21 feet through the air, with the aid of a couple of surfboard-topped Souls.

OK. I’ll tell you what I was doing. Or if you look below, I’ll show you.

Waukegan new car dealer expands its Kia dealership

October 22, 2009 Features, Kia News No Comments

It’s rare to hear the words “expand” or “grow” during these unfortunate economical times. It’s especially ironic to hear them in the context of the automobile industry, post the booming success of Cash for Clunkers.

Well, the Classic Dealer Group seems to be optimistic. One of the group’s locations has expanded and transformed its Chevrolet dealer into a newly improved Kia dealership, Classic Kia, a Waukegan dealer. The newly expanded site, on Green Bay Road, has undergone intense renovation, including constructing a significantly larger showroom. … Continue Reading

Kia Forte gets the stamp of approval

September 18, 2009 Features, Kia Awards, Kia News No Comments

I was looking around at the news earlier today and came across this great test drive review of the Kia Forte on USAToday.com. As

I remember the Waukegan Kia Forte test drive I took about a month ago. This review highlights one of the great things about the Forte, its user-friendliness. Everything in the Forte seems designed with the driver and passengers in mind. Isn’t that how a car is supposed to be after all. This article makes another good point that the Kia Forte’s engine provides a better driving experience than its competitors. And at such an affodable price, after taking one for a spin at a local Waukegan dealer, I would have to think car buyers will feel like they’ve found a secret value in the Kia Forte.

Kia Soul Tops in Safety and Value

September 14, 2009 Features, Kia Awards, Kia News No Comments

The late great James Brown had me pegged because I’m a Kia Soul man do do do do do do do. Let me explain. Naturally, when buying a car one must consider what they are looking for. Personally, the two most important factors as far as I’m concerned are value and safety. Warning, if value and safety are not important to you when purchasing a car, you are unlike just about every other car shopper, and this blog post may not be for you. But if you’re like most car buyers walking around area Waukegan dealers, either value, safety or both are the key factors in making a purchasing decision.

Kia has long been a fan favorite with their ridiculous 10-year, 100,000 mile warranty. Combine that with the new Kia Soul going for as low as under $14k, and you have the definition of value.
Like the time I fit 78 M&Ms in my mouth at once, Kia’s warranty and value is forever impressive but has been a story told to death. The real story here  with the Chicago Kia Soul is safety. The most respected worldwide companies in terms of car safety evaluation all have the Kia Soul at the top of the list. … Continue Reading
