The Kia Ray at the Chicago Auto Show

Kia debuted their newest hybrid concept car at this year’s Chicago Auto Show, the Kia Ray. With this model, Kia strove to create a hybrid vehicle that is sleek and stylish in opposition to the clunky hybrids that are currently on the market. Chicago Kia Soul dealers were no doubt pleased at the reception of this new car during the Chicago auto show following last year’s success of that model. Images of New Plug-In Kia Ray Leaked

Not everybody is expecting the Chicago Auto Show to be a huge zinger of an event, but at least one showstopper is anticipated to make an appearance, and that’s the new plug-in concept vehicle from Kia, codename “Ray.”

In Chicago, Kia Soul buzz is relatively old news, but the new Ray is the wave of the future for Kia, who in the last year has pulled out all the stops to show that they absolutely can compete with the longer-tenured, bigger-named automakers in the world. Some things you would never even think of can be done with this addition such as downloading music from iTunes on your iPod touch, watching YouTube videos or staying updated on current news headlines at CNN.com. … Continue Reading

Chicago Kia Soul snares Popular Mechanics award

One of the hippest cars on the road, who’s already taken home four plus automotive awards, has stolen another title: 2010 Automotive Excellence Award by Popular Mechanics. This youthful, urban ride is the 2010 Kia Soul.

“Popular Mechanics is a well-respected publication and to achieve this accolade from them is both a testament to the Kia brand and the all-new Soul urban passenger vehicle,” explains VP of Kia Motors, Michael Sprague. Coming to decide on which 10 vehicles would receive this prestigious title, members of the Popular Mechanics editing team test-drove a ton of new cars and trucks, ranking each by performance, relevant features/ technologies, and innovation. But really, how can you resist the toy-like size, upgrade options, and quirky styling of the 2010 Kia Soul? … Continue Reading
