2011 Kia Sorento gets sporty detailing
The 2011 Sorento is going to be a lot sportier, thanks to the SX Trim that it’s getting. Kia is being somewhat tight-lipped about this vehicle, as not many pictures have surfaced, nor have a lot of details about the pricing. Even the date it will arrive at your dealership Kia Gurnee is not set in stone, but it’s been said it will be sometime in Summer 2010.
The SX Sorento debuted at the Atlanta Car Show, due to the fact that the Sorento is the first auto produced at Kia’s first US based manufacturing center in West Point, Georgia. The one photo I saw of this Gurnee Kia auto showed a newly designed, sportier option!
One very noticeable new feature are the 18 inch alloy wheels that come with rims with a silver finishing. The front fascia is also new, and I am a fan of the way the headlights curve upward. The rear fascia, which I did not get to see, has also been redesigned.
Moving inside the crossover, a lucky owner will be able to enjoy heated front seats, a big deal when you have to live with winters here in Chi-town! The leather trimmed seats are also very nice. Another handy feature is the voice activated navigation system. This way you won’t put your safety or that of any passengers in jeopardy by taking your hand off the wheel to key in your information. Drivers and passengers will also get to listen to their favorite tunes via a 10 speaker surround sound system. This Gurnee Kia auto sounds awesome!
Powertrain wise, the SX trim will come with a 276-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 linked to a six-speed automatic transmission. Currently, this engine package is optional on LX and EX models. Moreover, the shock absorbers on this model are dual flow damper. What these will do is help with handling.
This could be a very good seller for Kia….It’s upgraded, sportier, and made in the USA! I am very excited to see it at my dealership Kia Gurnee! Will you take a test drive??
